UK logistics & transport recruitment, taken seriously.

Why we exist

Logistics hiring has its own rules. The wrong Class 1 on the wrong run loses you a customer. The wrong transport manager loses you the O-Licence. The wrong warehouse supervisor loses you the shift. Generalist agencies miss those signals, sending CVs without verifying licences, without understanding tachograph regs, without knowing which kit each candidate has actually run.

Bluestones Logistics was set up to fix that. We are a UK permanent recruitment partner with consultants who have either worked on the desk of a transport office or sat alongside one. We talk the trade, we know the regulations, and we will not waste your call on basics.

What we do

We place permanent logistics and transport staff for UK employers. Drivers, warehouse, planners, transport managers and fleet leadership, all direct-hire, all on your payroll the day they start. We do not run an agency-driver desk. The desk is built around hires that stay on the fleet, the brief, the vetting, the offer support, the day-7 / 30 / 90 follow-ups, every step geared toward six-month outcomes.

Who we work for

Our clients are UK 3PLs, own-account fleets, regional and national distribution operators, multi-site warehousing operations, and the in-house transport functions of larger commercial businesses. Mostly mid-market employers with hiring managers who want a recruiter who knows what a Cat 1 dangerous-goods load actually requires.

How we vet

Every driver candidate goes through:

  • Right-to-work verification
  • DVLA licence-check confirmation, current category, points and endorsements reviewed
  • CPC card and DCPC hours verified
  • Digital tachograph card confirmed in date
  • ADR, FORS, CSCS or specialist endorsements verified where applicable
  • Reference contact, current and previous employer where possible
  • Salary expectations, shift availability, nearest depot captured in writing

Non-driver candidates are checked against the equivalent qualifications, FLT cards, transport-manager CPC, supervisory tickets, and the same reference and right-to-work checks.

How we think about a placement

A successful placement is not a CV submission. It is the moment six months later when the new hire is still on the fleet, still hitting his runs, and still happy. That is the only outcome that matters.

Our values, the short version

  • Talk the trade. Our consultants know logistics. No translation required.
  • Check licences. Every category, every endorsement, every card verified before introduction.
  • Tell the truth. If the rate is below market, we say so. If the candidate is wrong for the route, we will not pretend otherwise.
  • Stand behind the work. Free replacement period on every placement.
  • One consultant per client. The person who takes your brief is the one who follows it through.
